James Cameron hoping Bollywood dance sequence at end of “Avatar” will create Oscar buzz

HOLLYWOOD—James Cameron, writer and director of blockbuster movies such as “The Terminator” and “Titanic,” hinted that he has decided to add a traditional Bollywood dance sequence to the end of his new sci-fi war film, “Avatar.” “The editors and I have been working on this project for over a decade and we never seemed to get the ending quite right,” said Cameron. “Then it struck us, why not put in a dance sequence!” The world famous director hopes that by bringing all the dead and forgotten characters back to sing and dance in a traditional Bollywood style finale, “Avatar” will receive the added boost it needs to become a serious Oscar contender. Cameron is also currently under negotiations to have Tom Hanks play a mentally handicapped alien who has chance encounters with various important historical figures.
